BALLET CLASSES FOR KIDS IN DUBAI

Ballet Centre is the leading training center for ballerinas in Dubai. We offer ballet classes for children aged 3-12 years old. Each class has a specific focus on technique, theory, history of dance, and ballet methods like Vaganova or Cecchetti. Our instructors are all qualified with world-class certifications from international bodies like RAD, IDTA, and ISTD.

Classical ballet provides the foundation for all other dance forms. It is the most demanding, most disciplined of all dance forms, but also the most rewarding. With a solid ballet foundation, classically trained dancers can transfer their skills into jazz, modern dance, or any other dance form they might decide to pursue. Accomplishing that solid ballet foundation is crucial to becoming an outstanding dancer in any dance form. Ballet students will improve strength, flexibility, grace, and overall coordination.

Benefits of Ballet Lessons

Balance

Ballet training develops balance, agility, and coordination. It teaches kids to maintain their center of gravity while doing complex movements such as en pointe or pliés.

Strength

When dancing, kids must learn to use their whole bodies. Ballet training improves strength and flexibility. In addition, the process of learning ballet builds muscle tone and coordination in children.

It's Fun

Ballet is one of the most elegant forms of dance. Learning ballet not only increases intrinsic grace and elegance but also increases social skills.

Discipline

One who takes regular ballet classes will learn how to be attentive in spite of distractions which teaches how to focus on tasks at hand, as well as control emotions.

Exercise

Ballet classes can burn up to 800 calories per hour. Balancing on your toes or the pointe-shoes engages small muscle groups of the feet, calves, ankles.

Commonly Asked Questions

There is no right or wrong age for starting a ballet class. The younger the student starts, the better; a child’s body is more flexible and less apt to be injured in his or her formative years. Classes are never too early to start. Classes for children aged 2-4 years begin with activities such as rolling, jumping, and balancing on the floor, in order to develop basic coordination without impacting the growing muscles and skeleton. A good ballet class is a perfect way for children to exercise while at the same time improving their posture, flexibility, and core.

We offer Tiny Tots Ballet for 2½ years, Babies Ballet for 3 years, and Prep Ballet for 4 years.
These are fun and creative classes for little ballerinas. Preparatory for classical ballet technique, these classes are designed to develop coordination, balance, strength, and rhythm. Moving to various music students develop creativity and musicality. We also use props that will capture your child’s imagination. In our Prep classes young dancers also begin to learn the classical positions of the feet and arms in addition to basic ballet steps.

Many think it is a fashionable activity that costs too much. But it’s not. There are ways you can reduce the amount of money you spend when getting your kids started. Other than the tuition fee, your kids will need ballet slippers, a leotard, tights/boy shorts, warm-ups, bun headband, hair ties, pointe shoes, tap shoes, and other assorted accessories. But it’s a one-time cost. It will pay off if you look at the big picture.
